Charo Chicken - Torrance at 1255 West Carson Street, Torrance, California.

I love this place! It serves tasty food,with good portions,at a reasonable price. I have tried dine in, take out and delivery numerous times,and have never had a bad experience. The great customer service is consistent.
The chicken,bbq sauce,and burritos,salads are great, I love the baked potatoes as well. The chicken tastes way better than El Pollo Loco too.

So, I was a regular at Charo Chicken in Long Beach. I've come here at least 4 times and each time it's a different story on requesting butter on the side instead of on my chicken. (I actually prefer the crispy skin) Prior to the last time I came here, I've always gotten butter on the side with an extra side of butter no charge. Last time I came it was a $1.50 charge for the extra side. Today I come and it's $1.50 charge to get any side of butter.

I asked the guy what's changed from the last time, he tells me his boss got on him and said no more butter on the side unless they pay for it.

The interesting part, the cost is more than a side of avocado. I'd even be willing to pay .75 for it, but $1.50 for 1tbs of butter? So my $20 order before paying for the butter was cancelled and you lose a $20 sale for $3. There's several places to satisfy my craving for rotisserie chicken. Done with Charo

Last night I picked some food up to go. As I waited for my food I noticed the entire restaurant smelled like the restroom and not food. Not only that the cashier was preparing food after handling money but never once did I see him go wash his hands. That cashier also made some red medium salsa for the salsa bar but didn’t remove the old salsa pan to replace it with new salsa. He just dumped the fresh salsa in with the old that had been sitting there for god knows how long. After I ate the food I have been nonstop using the restroom. Never again.
